Description
Old Mill House is a house from the early 19th century, built with galleted flint and rendered brick dressings, topped with a glazed black pantile roof. The facade features four bays and is two storeys high. The windows are sashes with a single vertical glazing bar, and the reveals are rendered to imitate ashlar. The leftmost bay includes a sash window and a door with panelled reveals; the lower part of the door has raised and fielded panels, while the top is glazed with glazing bars.
In the late 19th century, canted single-storey bay windows were added to the second bay, and a similar bay was added to the fourth bay around 1970. The third bay has a double-leaved door, with each door featuring three raised and fielded panels and an overlight with intersecting Gothick glazing bars. The door surround is adorned with pilasters that have reeded necking and a plain cornice. The first-floor sashes are set under segmental arches, and the eaves cornice is decorated with timber dentils. The house has gable end stacks and an axial stack.
