Description
The Cart Lodge at Grove Farm House is a cartshed dated 1847. It is constructed of flint with red brick dressings and features a pantile roof with coped gables. The front is open with five bays supported by wooden posts. The roof is supported by queen strut trusses and has two tiers of through purlins. A datestone in the gable is inscribed with "WHW 1847." Attached to the cartshed is a three-bay implement shed made from similar materials, with one side open. This building is part of a well-preserved farmstead group at Grove Farm, which was part of the Felbrigg estate from the 17th to the 20th century, showcasing ongoing improvements made to the estate, particularly in the mid-19th century by William Howe Wyndham.
