Description
The stable block west of Grove Farm House dates from the 17th to early 19th century, with modifications made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings and features a brick dentilled cornice. The building has a pantile roof with coped gables and stands two storeys tall. There are stable doors facing the yard and two windows with three pitching holes or windows above, oriented towards Back Lane. Inside, some stalls and racks remain, and the roofs primarily consist of 19th-century collar trusses. A small single-storey extension connects to a barn, which is included with the farmhouse. This stable block is part of a well-preserved farmstead group that was associated with the Felbrigg estate from the 17th to the 20th century, showcasing the agricultural improvements made over the years.
