Description

The monument to the Bygrave and Stone families, located 25 meters south of the nave of the Church of St. Mary, is a free-standing structure dating from 1796 to 1818. It is built of brick faced with ashlar panels. The monument features eight balls that support a rectangular chest, which is adorned with engaged reeded columns at each corner, complete with bases and capitals. Each of the four panels contains a circular inscription panel made of black marble. Atop the chest is a pyramidal plinth that carries an urn decorated with swags.
