Description
The outbuildings around the courtyard at the rear and sides of the Saracen's Head are stabling and other structures associated with the inn, dating from around 1830. They are built of red brick in Flemish bond and feature a black-glazed and red clay pantile roof with hipped ends and a brick dentil eaves course. A section of the roof in the north corner has been reclad in corrugated asbestos.
The buildings form a U-shaped plan around the courtyard, with stables located on the northwest side, a cart shed and loft on the southeast side, and a coach-house on the northeast side. The single-storey northwest range has large timber lintels over blocked wide doorways. The northeast range includes a raised center block with two segmental arch carriageways, one of which is blocked, and the roof above has been reduced to a flat roof. The southeast side features a four-bay cart shed with segmental arches, three of which on the left are blocked. The interiors have not been inspected.
