Description

Old Parsonage House is a house, originally a Rectory, dating back to the 17th century, with a cross wing added around 1830. The original structure is built of flint with brick dressings and has been colourwashed on the front, topped with a pantile roof that is hipped on the right side. It features a lobby entrance with a central axial stack. The single range is four bays wide and two stories high, with a central doorway framed by an early 19th-century pedimented doorcase. The windows have been altered and have late 20th-century casements. The 1830 wing is two stories and four bays wide, constructed of brick with a hipped pantile roof and gable end stacks. This wing has no doorway, and its ground-floor windows are sashes with glazing bars, renewed in the late 20th century; the first-floor windows are also sashes. An attached garden gate and railings, dating to around 1830, are present, and have open fleur de lys finials on the bars.
