Description
Church Farm House is a house from the early 18th century that was renovated around 1970. It is constructed of flint and brick with a pantiled roof and has three bays. There is an eastern wing that was converted from a 19th-century barn. The house is two storeys high, with the ground floor made of coursed flint and brick dressings, while the first floor is brick with a dentil cornice. The windows are casements from around 1970. Inside, there is a large axial chimney stack located between the first and second bays. The south gable is made of flint and features tumbled brickwork, with decorative brick patterns that include lozenges and the initials "EF" for Elizabeth Fenn, along with the year 1704 displayed in reverse. The first-floor window has been renewed, and there is a blocked attic window. The south bay has a steeper roof pitch compared to the first and second bays. There are later additions to the east that are not of special interest. The house is included for its south gable wall and forms a group with the nearby church.
