Description
22 and 24 Front Street is a house dating from the 17th century and later. It is constructed of flint with brick detailing and has a red pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high, featuring two 2-light cast iron 4-pane casement windows with gothick arched heads on the ground floor and three similar windows on the first floor. The ground floor windows have chamfered brick reveals with cambered arches. There is a central gabled porch made of brick with a double door from the 19th century. Some 17th-century brick window reveals can still be seen on the first floor. The north gable end is made of flint on the first floor with a brick gable. The house has a dentilled cornice, brick coped parapets, and gable end stacks.
