Description
The White Lion Public House is an 18th-century building with later additions, constructed from brick and flint, and partly rendered with a colourwashed finish. It features a black-glazed pantile roof that is hipped at the southern end. The building stands two storeys tall with an attic and has casement windows. A plastered and moulded brick string course runs along the façade, and the ground floor window openings are accented with brick rustication. The gable is coped and parapetted, with a chimney stack located on the northern side.
To the east, there is a two-storey wing that is rendered and colourwashed, also with a hipped pantile roof on the western side and a gabled roof on the eastern side. The eaves are detailed with brick dentils. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and there is a simple doorcase leading to a part-glazed six-panelled door. Additionally, there is a stable block made of brick, flint, and pantiles located to the east of the main building.
