Description
Nos 1 and 3 Wells Road are 18th to 19th century buildings located on a corner site. They are finished in stucco and feature a pantile roof with a hipped corner. The buildings are two storeys high. The Wells Road elevation has four windows, with the right-hand centre window on the first floor blocked. The ground floor has a new fielded panel door in the right-hand centre. The left-hand corner of the ground floor is splayed to accommodate a shop entrance, which is flanked on both the Wells Road and Nelson Road sides by small early 19th century shop windows that have pilasters and a cornice. On the Nelson Road side, there are two windows on the first floor, which are sashes with glazing bars, and a right-hand early 19th century multipane shop window.
