Description
Borrisokane is an early 19th-century house located on Wells Road in Fakenham. It is constructed of yellow and grey brick and features a low-pitched hipped slated roof with overhanging eaves supported by paired brackets. The building has brick corner pilasters and a slightly projecting central section. It stands two storeys tall and has three windows with flat rubbed brick arches, all of which are sashes with glazing bars. The entrance consists of central panelled double doors topped by a large rectangular fanlight, and is framed by an open porch supported by large Tuscan columns and a heavy entablature. To the right, there is a slightly set-back, lower two-storey section that contains two windows, one of which is blind, also sashes with glazing bars. This section has a flush-panelled door with a rectangular fanlight and shares the same low-pitched hipped slated roof with paired eaves brackets.
