Description
This headstone, located 11 meters south of the south aisle of St. Andrews Church, dates from 1740 and is made of ashlar. The inscription is illegible. It features a pair of engaged Ionic columns that support an entablature, which encloses a raised and fielded rectangular inscription tablet. Above the entablature, there is a moulded set-back segmental projection that displays a female figure with long hair reclining on a skull, carved in high relief. This figure is likely not a reference to St. Agnes or an effigy, but rather an allusion to a young unmarried woman.
