Description
This is a lamp post and war memorial located approximately 20 meters north of the barn at Castle Farm in Castle Rising, dated 1919. The lamp post is made of square oak and stands about 2.4 meters high, featuring wrought iron straps. At the top, there is a wrought iron octagonal lantern adorned with scroll work on the finial. A small commemorative plaque on the front of the post notes that it was erected by the people of Castle Rising.
