Description

Crimplesham Hall is a house dating from 1881. It is constructed of gault brick with slate roofs. The building's gables are designed to avoid a symmetrical appearance. The windows are predominantly sash windows, featuring single, paired, or tripartite configurations arranged without a predictable pattern. The south front has an east gable of three storeys and a flat west gable of two storeys, with a full-height canted bay featuring elaborate splayed corbelling. The gable heads have stepped internal machicolations. Rectangular stacks are positioned at right angles to each other along the skyline. The interior retains its original fittings; a tiled entrance hall leads to a top-lit stairwell with an arched gallery, accessible via a dog-leg staircase with turned balusters and handrail.
