14/63 Memorial 20m East of North Gate of Churchyard of St. Peter

Headstone. 1708. Limestone. Rectangular with coved head in form of 3- centred arch. Pair of female caryatids support Ionic capitals which in turn support skulls. These skulls carry incised linear string course. Bowed square insription panel. In head of memorial a weathered carving, probably Angel of Death with spread wings. An extremely unusual design.
