Description

This is a mid-18th century threshing barn located 30 meters west of No. 7 (Clough Farmhouse) on Hythe Road in Methwold. The barn is constructed of coursed clunch with brick quoins and features a pantile roof. It is a single-storey building with two symmetrical full-height doorways on the east side that extend into sloping dormers. The barn has a dentil eaves cornice, and there are side doors on the right and left that lead to utility rooms. The rear of the barn includes two opposing full-height entrances and three ventilation panels arranged in a diamond pattern. Inside, the original threshing floors are still present, and the roof is supported by butt purlins.
