Description

Hall Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse situated in Methwold. Originally listed as Old Hall Farmhouse, it is constructed of flint and brick, with a rendered and colourwashed facade. The roof is covered in pantiles. The building appears loosely arranged into four bays and features a central door, now lacking its original doorcase, with French doors to its right. Late 20th-century casement windows are positioned to the left, while the first floor is lit by four late 20th-century horned sash windows. The bell-shaped gabled roof has parapets to its gables. An external stack is located on the north gable, while a more substantial external stack, set off at the eaves line, is situated on the south gable.

The rear elevation includes a single tripartite sash window on each floor to the left, a 20th-century gabled porch to the right beneath a 20th-century sash window, and a two-storey mid-19th-century canted bay which closes the facade. This bay is constructed with brick quoins, 20th-century windows, and a hipped roof. A single stack rises from the south roof slope. The building has group value.
