Description
The building is a former Friends Meeting House, now functioning as a library. It dates back to the 17th century and is constructed of thin red brick in a rectangular shape. The building has been remodeled for its current use, featuring a central entrance on the long north side, flanked by tall windows with flat arches. At the gabled east end, there are two high-level casement windows. It has a plinth and a slate roof with an eaves soffit. This former meeting house is part of a group that includes a former Methodist Church, a Sunday School, the library itself, and boundary walls, as well as Nos 1 and 3 Railway Road.
