Description
The memorial to James and Susanna Gibson is located 10 metres south of the nave of the Church of All Saints and dates from 1767. It is made of limestone and features a rectangular shape with a coved set-back top. The memorial is supported by a pair of Ionic capitals that hold a moulded entablature, framing a bowed oval inscription panel. In the spandrels beneath the inscription panel, there are carvings of an hourglass, crossed bones, and a skull. Above the panel, each spandrel displays two trumpets and a crown. Below the coved head, there is a winged cherub.
