Description
Crabbe Hall Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on Creake Road in Burnham Market. It is constructed of gault brick and features a black glazed pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and five irregular bays, designed in the style of Samuel Wyatt associated with the Holkham estate.
On the ground floor, the end bays have two tripartite sash windows set back under skew segmental rubbed brick arches, while the central bay has a sash window under a skew backed rubbed brick arch. There is a five-sided hipped porch addition, roofed with brick and slate, which dates to around 1900 and includes two sash windows and a central part-glazed door. To the north, there is a 20th-century door replacement under a rubbed brick arch.
The first floor features five windows under skew backed rubbed brick arches, with four being sash windows that have glazing bars, and one window has been bricked up. A platband runs along the first floor, and there is a moulded brick cornice at the eaves. At the northeast and northwest corners, there are two cast iron fluted roundel purlin iron heads. The roof is tall and steeply pitched, and the architectural details confirm its identification as a building from the early 19th century in the style of Samuel Wyatt for the Holkham estate.
