Description
Arch House is a house built around 1830, constructed from gault brick and covered with black glazed pantiles. It is a three-storey, two-bay structure featuring an archway opening to the east. The ground and first floors have single sash windows, while the second floor has two sash windows, all with glazing bars and set under segmental rubbed brick arches. The wooden doorcase includes fluted pilasters and a projecting cornice, with panelled reveals and a six-panel door, where the two lower panels are raised and the four upper panels are glazed. To the west, there is a one and a half storey cart entrance with a segmental brick arch. The house has a projecting wooden eaves cornice with simple modillions, two coped end gables, and an east end stack. The returns are dressed with flint and brick, and there is a two-storey wing at the rear that forms an "L" plan.
