Description

Honeysuckle Cottage is a late 18th-century house. The front facade is of Flemish bond red brick, with returns of clunch, and a black glazed pantiled roof. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. It features two flush wooden sash windows on each floor, with thick glazing bars. A central four-panel door, dating to around 1900, provides access. The ground floor openings are set beneath flat, rubbed brick arches. The ground floor has a plinth, the first floor a platband, and the eaves a dentil cornice. The roof is gambrel-shaped. The house was formerly listed as being 10 metres to the east of Hamilton House and Old Crabbe Hall.
