Description

This is a house, originally a shop, dating from an earlier structure with a white-painted red brick facade from the early 19th century. It is located 10 metres to the west of Sunnyside. The building has a red pantiled roof and clunch returns with flint and rubble. The ground floor has been altered with a 3-bay shop front. At the east and west are two Greek Doric pilasters set on plinth bases with fluted shafts and capitals, supporting a Greek Doric entablature with guttae and a plain frieze, with leaded flushings. The ground floor now has two inserted 20th-century tripartite sashes with glazing bars; the central section has been filled with brick and contains a 20th-century door and flanking casements. The first floor has two early 19th-century sashes with glazing bars, each under a segmental brick flat arch. A 19th-century lamp is situated between the windows. The eaves have a parapet, and there are two end stacks.
