Description

Avenue House is a mid-18th century farmhouse. It is constructed of brick, whitewashed to the front, with a roof of corrugated tiles. The building is two storeys high, with five bays. A panelled door is located in the second bay from the left; the middle panels are glazed, and it is protected by a moulded doorcase with a small pediment above. Sash windows are set within segmental arches, with renewed glazing bars. A dentil eaves cornice runs around the building. The gabled roof has four gault brick ridge stacks evenly spaced. The west gable is of carstone to the first floor.
