Description

Ivy House is a house dating from around 1740, situated at the junction of High Street and Boughton Road in Fincham. It is constructed of gault brick with a pantile roof. The house is two storeys high with a dormer attic, and has three bays. The central doorway is sheltered by a timber porch and features a door with three arched lights, set beneath a semi-circular hood which is now obscured by the porch. A tripartite sash window fills the right-hand bay of the front elevation, alongside a single sash window to the left. The first floor has three sashes, all with glazing bars, and are set beneath segmental arches. The roof is gabled and features two flat-topped dormers with casements. Later additions to the rear of the house include a catslide roof.
