Description
Hall House is a house dating from the late 17th century, constructed of carstone, which was later expanded in the mid-18th century with additional work in the late 18th century. The 18th-century sections are made of colourwashed brick and feature roofs covered with corrugated tiles. The facade, which is from the mid-18th century, consists of three storeys arranged in three bays. A central panelled door is set behind a panelled doorcase with a pediment that includes a fanlight. There are flat brick string courses between the floors, and all windows are sash windows with intact glazing bars, set beneath finely gauged skewback arches. Two narrow additional windows are positioned on either side of the door. The building has a timber eaves cornice supported by paired shaped brackets and a gabled roof with internal end stacks.
