Description

This late 18th-century building comprises a shop and flat, located on the north side of St James’ Street, King’s Lynn. The building is constructed of brown brick with a machine-tiled roof. It is three storeys high and two bays wide. The shopfront is of good quality ashlar, featuring two unfluted columns that frame the central half-glazed door with an overlight. To either side of the shopfront are two-light casements, also with overlights. A panelled door to the left provides access to No.3. The upper floors each have two horned sash windows, one with glazing bars and the other with a gauged skewback arch above. A timber dentil eaves cornice runs around the building, and the gabled roof features an internal gable-end stack to the east.
