Description

The headstone to Henry Hoysier, located 11 metres south of the chancel of St. Andrews Church, is made of ashlar and dates from 1777. It is rectangular in shape and features a crest formed by two opposing acanthus scrolls that meet at a palmette. Below the crest, there is a Doric frieze that has been modified, with groups of triglyphs separated by punched rosettes. The headstone also includes a circular inscription panel and two putti.
