Description

This is an early 19th-century shop and offices in Great Yarmouth. The building is constructed of colourwashed brick with a pantiled roof. It is three storeys high and has a three-window front. The central bay projects as a canted bay window to the first and second floors. The ground floor has a 20th-century plate-glass shop front and a doorway leading to offices above. The first floor of the canted bay features a tripartite sash window with 6/6 and 1/1 panes to the front, and 6/6 sashes to the sides, all unhorned and within flush frames. The second floor has a tripartite sash with 3/3 and 1/1 panes to the front, and 3/3 sashes to the sides. The bays to either side each have a single 1/1 horned sash window to the first floor, and 3/3 unhorned sashes to the second floor. These windows have segmental heads and console keyblocks. A platband runs between the first and second floors, and a modillion eaves cornice tops the building. The roof is gabled. The interior has been significantly altered and partitioned.
