Description
This building is a shop located at 102 High Street in Great Yarmouth, dated 1720. It is constructed of red brick laid in Flemish bond, featuring some burnt headers, and has a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a single window range, with the gable end facing the street.
The west gable displays a late 19th-century plate-glass shop front supported by fluted consoles beneath the fascia board. Above this, there is one 2/2 horned sash window on each floor. A platband is present at the attic level, and the shaped gable features a date in tie irons, indicating 1720, although the numeral 7 is missing. The roof is gabled with an internal gable-end stack on the east side. The returns of the building are rendered and whitewashed, with casements and sashes. The structure has been significantly rebuilt over time.
The interior has little of interest on the ground floor, and the first floor was not inspected.
