Description
The White House is a farmhouse that dates back to the 17th century, with a west facade that was added in the mid-18th century. The building is constructed of roughcast and whitewashed brick, topped with a thatched roof. The two-storey west facade features five bays, with a central panelled door located behind a rustic 20th-century thatched porch. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, some of which have horns, and the ground floor windows are set under segmental arches. There is a platband at the first floor level, and the gabled roof has internal gable end stacks. The gables are adorned with two platbands, one at the first floor and another at the eaves. The east front is also two storeys high and includes a three-light ovolo mullioned window on the ground floor with iron casements. The remaining windows are a mix of 19th and 20th-century sashes and casements.
