Description
Valley Farm Barn, located 10 metres to the east of the farmhouse, is an 18th-century barn constructed of red brick with a pantile roof. The barn features five bays and has a southern lean-to addition that serves as stables. The north elevation has a central opening for barn doors, flanked by four pointed head honeycomb brick air vents. On the southern side, there is a central opening with an oak lintel and a segmental brick relieving arch. The south elevation includes openings for windows and stable doors, all with segmental brick arches. The gables on the parapet have ventilation openings, brick tumbling in, and an owl hole at the peak. Inside, there are central tie beams braced onto wall posts, staggered butt purlins, straight wind braces, and 20th-century rafters.
