Description

The former barn, located immediately south of the Maltings in Aylsham, dates from the 18th century. It is a three-steaded barn constructed of red brick and features a steeply-pitched thatched roof. The gables are parapetted with brick tumbling, and there are corner piers. The south side of the barn has brick honeycomb vents. Inside, arch-braced tie-beams flank the threshing floor. This building is included in the listing for its group value with the adjacent Maltings.
