Description

Bridge House is an 18th-century building on the west side of Millgate in Aylsham. It is constructed of red brick with a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys and has an attic. Three brick pilasters run up the front, topped by a moulded string course. It has sash windows with glazing bars, some with margin lights. The windows are set within rubbed and cambered brick arches. The eaves have brick modillions. A central door opening is topped with a semi-circular fanlight featuring radiating glazing bars, and the door is protected by a doorcase with a broken pediment. There are three dormers, two with pediments, and one with a segmental gable facing north. The north gable is parapeted, while the south gable has an attic sash window. A catslide roof slopes on the west side.
