Bure House, formerly listed as No 56, is a building dated 1768 located on the east side of Millgate in Aylsham. It is constructed of red brick with a pantile roof and stands three storeys tall. The facade features five bays with sash windows that have glazing bars, and there are flat gauged arches above the ground and first floor openings. A brick string course runs at the first floor level. The central doorway is framed by a pedimented doorcase with Tuscan pilasters and a panelled reveal. The building has a modillion eaves cornice and parapeted gables with brick tumbling, along with internal gable chimney stacks. To the north, there is a 2½ storey lean-to wing that includes sashes with segmental heads, and to the east, there is a one-storey gabled wing.
