Description

15 and 17 Millgate are a pair of buildings dating to the 18th century and later, constructed of red brick and flint with a pantiled roof, partly covered in black glazed tiles. The buildings are two storeys high and feature sash windows with glazing bars, set within cambered brick arches. Some modern casement windows are also present. An off-centre doorway with a canopy supported by console brackets is located on the south side. Evidence remains of a moulded brick string course, and the gables are parapeted. A chimney is situated on the east gable, and another off-centre on the south side. An entrance door with a moulded doorcase is on the east side, and remnants of brick corner pilasters are also visible.
