South Lodge And Walls

South Lodge and Walls is a former pair of estate workers' cottages that served as one of two lodges to Moor Hall. Built in the late 19th century, the structure is made of flint with gault brick dressings and features a black pantile roof. It is semi-detached and has two storeys, with a single-storey gabled scullery at the rear. The front has two gables facing the road, which flank a lean-to porch that contains two entrance doors. The windows on the road side are casement style, adorned with cast iron reticulated tracery and segmental brick arches. There are external stacks at each end of the building, featuring triple moulded brick shafts. Additionally, there is an attached brick and flint wall with entrance gates facing the road, and a flanking wall along the driveway that includes a timber lattice fence with cast iron finials and gate posts topped with cast iron acorn finials.
