Description

Field Lodge is a pair of estate cottages, now serving as a house, dating from the mid to late 19th century. The building is constructed of flint with brick sills and quoins, as well as brick dressings around the windows. It features a slate roof and is bilaterally symmetrical, with each side comprising two bays. The small paned windows have deep stone lintels that are carved with label moulds. The eaves are adorned with brick dentils, and there are two gabled flush dormers that have scalloped lead sill flashings. A large central stack is chamfered at the top to accommodate two square flues and two diagonal flues at the ends. The roof overhangs at the eaves, and there is a sun fire mark on the right quoins.
