Description

Brookside is a house built in 1742, constructed from flint with brick quoins, a plat band, and lacings. It features a tiled roof and is two storeys high with two bays. In 1969, it was extended to three bays in a style that matches the original. The main entrance leads into the heated room, while there is an unheated room to the right that includes a rear stair. The entrance has a boarded door with a simple canopy, and there are 20th-century timber windows with gauged brick heads above the openings on the ground floor. Gable stacks are located at the front of the house, prior to the addition. There have been various additions made to the rear around 1960 to 1970, including a new main entrance and a stone pointed window that was sourced from St John's School in Salisbury.
