Description
The Malet Arms is an inn dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and features a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and four window bays, following a lobby entry plan of three bays. There is a boarded door located in the second bay, which is sheltered by a simple flat canopy. A plat band runs along the building, and the windows are twelve-paned sashes set in segmental-headed openings with fluted keystones. To the right of the door, there is a large 18th-century window with a three-centred head. The eaves are cogged, and the roof is half hipped with a rendered stack. There is a lean-to extension on the right side of the building. Inside, the inn features chamfered spine beams with run-out stops and an open fireplace. The roof consists of three bays, with chamfered purlins and windbraces supporting the central bay.
