Description

Abbots Hall is an early 18th-century house with 19th-century additions. Constructed of red brick, it has a hipped pantile roof. The original south facade features three bays with sash windows, each with a gauged arch above the opening. Angle pilasters have moulded capitals. A later central porch contains a four-centred arched doorway and lancet side windows. Moulded brick eaves extend outwards with plain brackets, and two flat-roofed dormers are present on the south side. A 19th-century gabled wing extends to the east, featuring sash windows with moulded brick surrounds and a moulded, dentilled brick eaves course. On the west side, there are sash windows with margin lights, as well as two brick lancet openings with gauged arches above.
