Description

The Belt is a house dated 1741 on its north gable, with a later addition to the south. It has a pantile roof, hipped over the later wing. The house is two storeys high, with attics and a cellar. The facade is arranged with three bays, the centre slightly projecting. It features sash windows with architraves and glazing bars, set within rubbed brick arches. The ground floor windows are in recessed panels with segmental heads. A central entrance has a double-leaf glazed door, set within a rusticated door surround with pilasters. A modern flat-roofed portico stands before the entrance. The eaves have a wide overhang.

The earlier north range has a slate roof and a shaped gable incorporating an internal chimney stack. There are gabled dormers with casement windows. On the north side, two bays are arched, two storeys high, with one bay blank.
