Numbers 9 And 11 And Barn

Numbers 9 and 11 and the Barn are late 18th century to early 19th century buildings located on the north side of White Hart Street in Aylsham. They are constructed of red brick with a slate roof and feature two storeys and attics. The buildings have sash windows with architraves and flat rubbed brick arches, along with a moulded eaves cornice. There are four flat-roofed dormers that also contain sashes with glazing bars. The off-centre doorway has a four-panelled door and a doorcase with a rectangular fanlight above it. The gables are parapeted, and there are three chimneys, one located at the west gable.

There is a modern two-storey brick extension at the south-east corner, which has a lead flat roof and a projecting sash bay window at the first-floor level. A catslide extension is present on the north side, featuring a 'wedge' dormer with a casement window, while other casement windows are modern.

To the north-east side, there is a two-storey brick and pantile link to the Barn, which dates from the early 18th century and is made of red brick with a steep pantile roof. The Barn has large double doors on the west side and two fixed light windows on the east side, along with an inserted floor. The north gable of the Barn has a parapeted gable with brick tumbling.
