Description

Nos 56 and 56A on Red Lion Street are early 19th-century buildings, with a date of 1829 marked on the north wall. They are constructed of red brick and feature a pantile roof that is hipped at the north end. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, and the ground floor sash has an architrave with a flat rubbed brick arch above it. The entrance door is located on the left side and is framed by a doorcase. On the right side, there is a later shop front. The buildings also have an off-centre chimney stack along the ridge line and bracketted eaves.
