Description
Number 3 on White Hart Street in Aylsham is a building that underwent remodelling in the 18th century, originally based on earlier structures. It features a red brick exterior, with some areas timber framed, and has a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and presents a three-bay facade to the street, showcasing sash windows with flat rubbed brick arches. Brick corner pilasters add to its architectural detail. The central doorway is framed by a wooden bracketed surround, and the eaves are also bracketed. To the north, there is an earlier gabled wing that is timber-framed with brick infill, featuring casement windows, some of which have leaded lights. A notable six-light mullion window is located at the first floor level on the west side, and there is a large off-centre brick chimney stack. Additionally, a later lean-to structure is present at the north end.
