Description
The Baptist Chapel, built around 1800, is a two-storey structure made of red brick with a pyramidal pantiled roof. It has a square plan and features a symmetrical west facade with three bays. The ground floor includes two sash windows and the first floor has three sash windows, all with glazing bars and rendered skewback arches above them. A rendered plinth runs along the base of the building. The central doorway has a plain wooden surround and architrave, leading to a two-leaf door with flush panels. There are also high-level sash windows in the north and east walls.
On the south side, there is a later meeting room or vestry, which has a pantiled roof with parapeted gables and internal chimney stacks. This section includes one sash window, two Yorkshire sashes with glazing bars, and a ledge entrance door, all featuring segmental arches above the openings. The interior is plain but complete, with a gallery that has a panelled parapet and two winding stairs located in the south-west and north-west corners.
