Description
Church Farm House is a farmhouse dated 1773, constructed of brick with a pantiled roof. Originally a three-cell house, it was extended in the 19th century to the southwest, creating an 'L' shaped plan over two storeys and attics. To the east, there is a two-storey service block featuring a 20th-century lean-to loggia and an extension. The western entrance facade includes a rustic porch, a gabled wing at the southern end, and three windows facing north. The windows are mainly 20th-century casements, while the first floor has 19th-century cross windows with wrought iron casements. The building features corbelled brick eaves and a parapet gable to the north, complete with brick kneelers and an end stack. There are three 19th-century gabled dormers with two-light 20th-century casements. The house has an off-centre axial stack and an axial stack on the southwest wing. Inside, there are simple 18th and 19th-century details, including raised and fielded panel doors and fireplaces with eared architraves. A datestone on the south gable is inscribed with "T.R. 1773." Attached outbuildings to the north are not of special interest.
