Description
This barn, located 3 meters north-west of Southwood Hall, dates back to 1766 and is constructed of red brick with an asbestos cement sheet roof. It features a three-stead design with an extended porch on the west side. There are barn doors located in both the west gable wall and the east wall. The barn has blocked vent slits with smaller vent holes positioned above them. The gables have parapets with vent slits, an eaves level platband, and tie irons. Inside, there is a ten-bay staggered butt purlin roof supported by tie beams, arch braces, and wall posts. A date stone in the north gable is inscribed with "H.H 1766." There is a farm building to the east, but it is not of special interest.
