Description

This is an 18th-century building located on the north side of Aylesham Market Place. The building is constructed of red brick, with some areas colourwashed, and has a modern concrete tile roof. The north facade is arranged with three bays, defined by pilasters that have decorative caps. It features sash windows with glazing bars, each set within a rubbed brick arch. A central doorway has a reeded doorcase and panelled reveals, leading to a partly glazed six-panelled door. Gable chimney stacks are present. A separate entrance door is located on the west side, also with a reeded doorcase. Furthermore, there is a balcony in the centrally projecting bay on the south side, accessed via good quality railings and an iron balustrade.
