Description
89 and 91 Castle Street are a pair of mid-19th century houses located on the north side of Castle Street in Thetford. The buildings are constructed of flint with a gault brick facade, while No. 91 is rendered and colorwashed. The roofs are made of black-glazed pantiles for No. 89 and red pantiles for No. 91. Both houses are two stories tall.
No. 89 features a central 20th-century door flanked by a 6/6 sash window on each side. The first floor has three similar sash windows, all of which are set under segmental heads. The house has a gabled roof with internal gable-end stacks.
No. 91 is designed in two bays and has a 20th-century door to the right of a 20th-century 15/15 sash window. The first floor includes two 6/6 sash windows. This house also has a gabled roof with an internal gable-end stack to the west. The interior has not been inspected.
